We’ve been close to Microsoft since we passed through the Microsoft Accelerator program in 2016, maintaining close ties with the Azure team as we built and refined our technology at Hadean. Integrating with Microsoft’s extensive and powerful suite of tools makes sense on every level, as we work with Azure Cloud Gaming and Xbox Game Studios to usher in a cloud-first era in Gaming and bring new possibilities in game design to life.
Which is why we’re thrilled to invite you to the following two talks at GDC 2019, as further evidence of the strong relationship between Hadean and Microsoft.
A Vision For The Future Of MMO Development (S427)
Aidan Hobson Sayers, our Head of Product, will give a talk at Microsoft’s stand examining how Aether Engine can move MMOs past the current technological and creative roadblocks slowing down the genre’s evolution. With Aether Engine allowing game worlds to scale seamlessly across multiple servers – a single shard with dynamic, fully destructible and persistent worlds – the potential Aether Engine has for the MMO genre is clear.
This talk will take place from 14:30 to 14:55 PST on Thursday March 21st at Microsoft Theatre, over at S427.
Why Hadean Is The Next Step In The Evolution Of Multiplayer Game Servers (S366)
Andreas Pohl, Microsoft’s Global Black Belt for games development, will talk about Hadean’s role in the evolution of multiplayer game servers. As one of the global thought leaders on highly scalable systems and backend architectures, Andreas is perfectly positioned to share his technical insight on the future of online multiplayer and why Hadean can help shape its future.
Andreas’ talk arrives shortly after Microsoft’s announcement of Microsoft Game Stack, an initiative bringing together Microsoft tools and services to empower game developers, so it’s a fantastic opportunity to hear what he has to say.
This talk will take place from 11:00 to 11:15 PST on Thursday March 21st at our stand, over at S366.
And don’t forget, you’ll get a chance to see what the future of online multiplayer looks like while you’re at our stand, as you’ll get a chance to play our EVE: Aether Wars tech demo and chat to our Aether Engine team too.
